The Opportunity:
UCF Advancement & Partnerships is seeking experience candidates for Director for Advancement, Financial Planning & Analysis. The Director is responsible for overseeing the foundation's liquidity, banking operations, and investment activities, including endowment management. This role ensures the institution maintains optimal cash flow, manages financial risk, and stewards endowment assets in alignment with donor intent and institutional priorities. The position also leads the development and implementation of treasury-related policies and procedures to support financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Cash & Treasury Management:
Monitor daily cash balances and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
Manage banking relationships and optimize account structures and services.
Oversee treasury operations, including wire transfers, ACH transactions, and reconciliations.
Evaluate and implement treasury technologies to improve efficiency and security.
Endowment Management:
Collaborate with investment advisors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to manage the foundation's endowment portfolio.
Monitor investment performance and ensure alignment with the foundation's investment policy and spending guidelines.
Support the Investment Committee and Board of Directors with reporting and analysis.
Ensure compliance with donor restrictions, UPMIFA guidelines, and institutional policies.
Coordinate endowment accounting and reporting with the Controller's Office and Advancement Services.
Policy & Procedure Development:
Lead the development, documentation, and periodic review of treasury, cash management, and endowment-related policies and procedures.
Ensure policies reflect best practices, regulatory requirements, and institutional goals.
Provide training and guidance to staff on treasury-related procedures and internal controls.
Collaborate with external auditor and compliance teams to ensure effective risk management.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to internal controls, foundation policies, and applicable regulations.
Identify and mitigate financial risks related to cash handling, investments, and banking operations.
Maintain documentation and support audits related to treasury and endowment activities.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on cash positions, forecasts, investment performance, and endowment activity.
Provide financial analysis to support strategic planning, capital projects, and donor stewardship.
Assist in the development of financial models and scenario planning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience including 3+ years of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
5–7 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or investment operations, preferably in higher education or nonprofit sector.
Experience developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
Familiarity with endowment management, investment policy statements, and donor stewardship.
Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, banking systems, and investment reporting.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Banner, Oracle).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Experience with Workday and endowment accounting software.

The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
