Responsibilities
  • Serve as coordinator of events and special projects for the Herbert Wertheim College of Business. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of academic and non-academic events. Manage event logistics including venue and room reservations, event calendar requests, vendor coordination, catering, parking, signage, audiovisual support, photography/videography, and event staffing. Assist with invitations, mailings, registration processes, and the preparation of event materials. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution and high-quality attendee experience.
  • Exercise professional judgment in the planning, coordination, and delivery of events and services within the assigned area of responsibility. Assist with the implementation of policies and procedures related to event operations and service delivery. Support budget planning and management by assisting with budget recommendations, expense monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices for event operations at the Herbert Wertheim College of Business. Maintain and update event databases, shared drive resources, and related records, including vendor information, venue details, planning documents, and operational procedures, to support effective event planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with Wertheim College of Business departments, centers, and institutes to support events as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of relevant experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Must have a valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
