Position Purpose
Support security and access-control operations during assigned events while helping maintain a safe, organized, professional, and welcoming environment.
Specific duties may vary depending on the event, location, and assigned role.
Key Responsibilities
• Support security operations during assigned events.
• Monitor designated areas and remain alert to activities within the surrounding environment.
• Control access to assigned areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide directions and assistance to attendees, visitors, and staff as needed.
• Help maintain order and promote compliance with event rules and procedures.
• Identify and promptly report unusual situations, incidents, or potential safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow established instructions, protocols, and operational procedures.
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with attendees, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Complete or provide incident-related information when required.
• Report to the assigned check-in location on time and as scheduled.
• Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and a positive attitude throughout each shift.
Required Qualifications
• Active Florida Class D Security License (Required).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check in accordance with applicable position requirements.
• Must be able to successfully complete a drug screening when required.
• Must live within approximately 10-15 miles of ZIP code 32399 in Tallahassee, Florida.
• Must be available to work one or more of the scheduled event dates.
• Must be able to work shifts of approximately 8 hours.
• Must be responsible, dependable, punctual, observant, and able to remain attentive throughout the shift.
• Must be able to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Must communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned work locations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in event security.
• Experience as a security officer, access-control officer, security monitor, or operational support team member.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, logistics, or managing large groups of people.
• Experience working at concerts, sporting events, festivals, convention centers, or other public events.
• Availability to work multiple dates throughout the event schedule.
Previous experience in security or event operations is preferred but not required.
