Experienced Lead Ontologist / Knowledge Engineer to design, build, and govern enterprise ontologies,
knowledge models, and semantic solutions. The role focuses on enabling semantic interoperability,
knowledge representation, and inference-ready data models that support analytics, AI, interoperability,
and enterprise decision-making.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and governance of ontologies and knowledge models
• Define and maintain conceptual, logical, and semantic models aligned to business and domain
needs
• Develop and manage taxonomies, vocabularies, metadata, and controlled terminologies
• Enable semantic interoperability across systems, APIs, and data platforms
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, product owners, and domain experts
• Guide teams on ontology modeling standards, best practices, and reuse strategies
• Support knowledge graph and semantic reasoning use cases
• Review and validate solution designs for semantic consistency and correctness • Drive adoption of industry standards and reference ontologies • Author and maintain semantic documentation and governance artifacts • Proven experience designing ontologies, semantic models, or knowledge graphs • Strong understanding of knowledge representation and semantic principles • Hands-on experience with ontology modeling tools and frameworks • Experience working with data modeling, metadata, and information architecture • Ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
