Duval Ford Fleet is seeking experienced Installers to perform vehicle outfitting and up-fitting services, which includes the installation and removal of equipment, which includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Lightbars • Sirens • Speakers • Consoles • Laptop mounts • Push bumpers • LED Lighting • Prisoner cages • Gun racks

Requirements
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks that will require accessing confined spaces.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience is desired, but not required - We will train
  • Knowledge of vehicle wiring
  • Able to identify electrical circuits
  • Experience w/ installation of emergency lighting desired, but not required
  • Able to work on and see small objects
  • Good hearing and color vision
  • Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Pass the Emergency Vehicle Technician exam within a reasonable period-of-time after hire.
  • Skilled in technological and electrical repair and maintain the specialized equipment found in police, public safety and emergency vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle Outfitting/Up-fitting services on the following: Turnkey emergency vehicles, Patrol vehicles and motorcycles, Fire and ambulance vehicles, Utility, security and transport vehicles, other vehicles as assigned.
  • Installation and removal of all equipment to include but not limited to: In-car camera systems, Storage boxes and sliders.
  • Perform Vehicle repairs, retrofitting and upgrading.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean working environment, keeping the Installer's work area organized
  • Complete all required paperwork (service orders, work logs, timecards, etc.).
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Ensure all Installations meet safety standards and client specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
