Position Summary:

The Sales Producer is an insurance sales position within The Windward Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary of Florida Peninsula. The agent is expected to market and sell personal and commercial insurance policies by generating leads, following up on referrals, and expanding existing relationships by cross selling to current customers. Essential Functions:

  • Handle personal lines accounts like auto, home, and renters' insurance
  • Respond to leads from various sources, including referrals, internet requests, and phone calls
  • Understand needs, provide quotes, and follow up to bind coverage and close sales
  • Provide insurance advice and explanations as needed to customers to ensure understanding
  • Find new sales leads through networking, referrals, and cold calls
  • Handle commercial lines accounts like general liability, property, and workers' compensation
  • Prepare proposals, quotes and complete policy applications
  • Ensure policies are aligned with customer needs

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • FL 220, License Personal & Commercial Lines Experience
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • 2 years' insurance sales experience
