Substitute Teacher
Ransom Everglades School seeks a dynamic and reliable Substitute School Nurse who will provide temporary health services for Middle and Upper School students (grades 6-12), stepping in during the regular nurse's absence to ensure a safe campus health environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate student illnesses and injuries
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescribed medications as needed/ordered
  • Respond to acute medical emergencies
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation
  • Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and administrators while strictly upholding HIPAA and FERPA confidentiality standards.

This is an on-call position designed to provide support when our regular team member is unavailable. The School is unable to guarantee a set number of hours each week, and the role does not offer employer-sponsored benefits.

Qualifications:
  • Hold an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current CPR/AED certification, with background in pediatrics, adolescent health, or school nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment abilities and adaptability in a dynamic independent school setting
  • Clear communication with teenagers and parents
  • Capacity to make sound, independent decisions in emergency situations
